How many changes of clothes should I bring?

Suggestions for Ladies:

Bring a selection of light and dark. Soft colours can work well too – greys, blues and soft pinks for example – no stripes or spots! Don’t be afraid of bright colours if they suit you; also Black leather/Denim/Military jackets for an edgy/contemporary look. Jewellery wont distract from a great headshot, bring what makes you feel good, tops only unless you need full length. Headshots are just that, head and shoulders, different outfits make you feel different, feel free to be brave with your selection. If you are looking for ‘professional women’ shots, a white/cream shirt and black jacket should do the trick.

Suggestions for Gents:

T-shirts work well, but also bring shirts with a collar – both dark and light versions. All these are informal options; feel free to bring a suit jacket and a tie if this is your style. Denim and leather jackets if you want more of a rugged look. A white t-shirt and jacket can also work well also military green, don’t be afraid to bring brighter colours if they suit you, and if you have a favourite shirt/jacket bring that too

Do you offer headshots in black and white and colour?

Colour proofs are sent to you, which can be re-worked to black & white at a later stage. Black & white although not the industry norm, are elegant and classy which adds a punch to your final choice of photos, if you want to add a bit of spice to your spotlight page, I’m very happy to offer you a b/w alternative to mix in with your final choice.

Do you mind gents shaving half way through?

I’m totally fine allowing gents to do this. Its easier if its an elecrtic shave otherwise a well-lit bathroom with a good mirror and a towel can be provided!

My chosen photos are 'Finished' - what does this mean?

The photos are taken RAW which is the highest possible quality available. The RAW files have to go through a process to turn them in to a jpg so that you can use the photos on line. ‘Finishing’ is taking the photos through this process. I send the proofs to you online and when you have made your choice, your photos are taken to the next stage : they are colour corrected & cropped to the standard Spotlight size 10×8 unless you prefer other; they will then be touched up for any unwanted blemishes, stray hairs etc… Hi Res photos are sent to you through We Transfer electronically.

Do you work evenings or weekends?

I use natural light so don’t shoot evenings, happy to work on Saturday

Do you offer additional high resolution images?

4/6/8 photos are included in the shoot, extra are £25.00 each

How should I pay?

Payment on the day is preferred, cash, cheque or bank transfer.

Can I have all of the unedited photos?

Short answer is sorry but no. I am only interested in you having your photos at the highest possible standard, highlighting both you the actor and me the photographer. If I send all unedited photos to you, I will be sending you an unprofessional portfolio which is not going to work for either of us.
